neo — bar "beton" in tver

project description

The bar is located in an abandoned building in the heart of the historical center of Tver. The unique atmosphere is created by wooden floors and a basement with Monier vaults, and just 50 meters away is the main restaurant street of the city

A two-story abandoned building built in 1900 in the courtyard of the very center of Tver formed that very dark courtyard, passing through which in the late evening one could experience a little excitement. Nevertheless, the location in the center and proximity to the most party-like pedestrian street of the city disposed the Customers to decide and take on their shoulders the complex restoration of the house, reminiscent of a half-ruined barn.
It was at this stage that the designer was brought into the project. The customers came up with the name "Concrete" right away, and we built the entire interior concept on the authenticity and beauty of the material, deliberately abandoning porcelain stoneware, tiles and microcement.
Zoning partitions, tabletops, bar counters were cast in concrete according to the drawings. It was decided to use metal decorative elements, and subsequently, during the renovation work, we preserved fragments of the authentic brickwork of the building.
This is how the modern interior of the neo-bar “Beton” was gradually born, acquiring more and more features of brutalism.
In the summer, DJs play here and noisy companies gather; the understandable and tasty Russian cuisine fits perfectly with the concept of the establishment and is loved by the city residents.
